I went to Maryland Sheep and Wool on Sunday with my awesome south Philly SnB. It was my very first wool festival and I had the best time ever despite the 80 degree heat. I visited with some sheep and an alpaca, and watched a sheep dog demonstration. Looked at wheels, spindles, and roving (one day I will try spinning). Mostly though I was there for the yarn. Lots and lots of yarn. What a glorious sight to behold. I think I did rather well. I have no regrets about skeins left behind or about what I got, even though two skeins are very similar.

It is probably a little obvious, but I had a great time at the Miss Babs booth. This is the start of a beautiful friendship – I’m already contemplating sweaters in the “Yowza what a skein” worsted yarn. For now though I’m going to figure out what to do with all of that beautiful sock yarn.
